Services to be Offered
The W-GRASS will provide two types of services:
- Grid-enabling legacy code applications
- Developing new Grid applications
- Grid-enabling legacy code applications
This service converts legacy code applications into Grid applications using only binary code and without re-engineering the application source code.. The user fills in the Application Description form and provides the binary code of the application. The W-GRASS team compiles the “How-To” document. One of the team members migrates the application to the Grid by adapting, deploying and testing it.
- Developing new Grid applications
This service designs and implements either resource-oriented (GT2-based) or service-oriented (GT4-based) Grid applications. The user fills in the Application Description form and specifies the requirements of the application. The W-GRASS team compiles the “How-To” document. One of the team members develops the application, deploys it on the Grid and tests the application
